Ex-detective Macmillan always had a taste for bad girls, but his last lover really took the cake—and his humanity. Now half-demon, Mac's lost his friends, his family and his job.

But Constance, a strangely innocent vampire trapped in the supernatural Castle prison, needs his help. Her son has been kidnapped, so suddenly Mac has a case to work—one that embroils him with a mad sorcerer, an even madder city council, and a winged love god. The trail leads deep into the supernatural prison, and Mac soon learns that cracking the case will cost him his last scrap of his humanity.

Fiery, vulnerable Constance will do anything for those she loves, including Mac. He'll be damned if he turns his back on her… and a demon forever if he doesn't.

The more comments you leave, the better your chances to win!

Good Luck!

*Must be 18+ to enter. The odds of winning depend upon the number of participants. Contest void where prohibited by law. We strive to make our prize winners happy! However, as with all our contests, it is the participant’s responsibility to check the blog to see if their name is announced as a winner, and/or to respond to winning notification emails in order to claim your prize. Any prizes that go unclaimed for 30 days after the close of a contest will be placed back into the MMC prize vault, or an alternate winner will be chosen.

The Midnight Moon Cafe is pleased to feature an intriguing new romance from Carina Press. This other worldly story is something you won't want to miss! We hope you will check out...

by Karalynn Lee

She was an angel at the gates of Hell.

When Kenan, an incubus, finds a caged angel for sale in the Hellsgate marketplace, he sees her as a challenge. Certain that his skills in seduction will work as well on a heavenly creature as they do on mortal women, he buys Jahel, intent on having her soul as a novelty in his collection.

Knowing he must gain Jahel's trust if she is to come to his bed willingly, Kenan treats her more as his guest than as his slave. When she reveals what brought her to the mouth of Hell in the first place—retrieving the soul of a young girl she was guarding—he even offers to help her complete her mission.

Though he has promised Jahel freedom, Kenan soon realizes she has captured his heart instead. And as their passion for one another grows, they find themselves caught in a struggle between Heaven and Hell, one that will lead them to the very edge of the apocalypse...

Featured Book: Poisoned Kisses by Stephanie Draven

Today the Midnight Moon Cafe is featuring a sexy new paranormal book with an unusual hero - a shape-shifting hydra! Be sure to check out...

Poisoned Kisses

Daughter of the war god Ares, Kyra had been born into darkness—a darkness she'd vowed to annihilate. Just as she'd destroy the notorious Greek arms dealer Marco Kaisiris for feeding the bloodlust she despised. She'd use her nymph's carnal powers to seduce him, then slay him. But Kyra wasn't prepared for Marco's secret weapon.

For millennia Kyra had avoided mortal men, but she couldn't resist Marco's magnetism, his raw sexuality. Time and again his sculpted body took her to heights to which only the gods soared. That he was a shape-shifting hydra she could forgive, but not his one fatal flaw—his poisoned blood could kill her. Kyra had fallen for the only being who could destroy her…. Yet how could she spend eternity without him?

A Practical Look at the Dark Angels Tarot Deck

Today I'm going to talk a little bit about the Dark Angels Tarot Deck. The lovely Cassandra Curtis bought this deck for me for my birthday this year, and I've been playing with it since the end of August. The artwork is stunning. Simply beautiful. This is probably one of the prettiest decks I own. If you like gothic art, this will likely appeal to you. The cards depict the dark angels during the end of days, so as you can imagine the look and feel of the cards is edgy - bordering on sinister.

The little white book included in the box is in tune with the dark atmosphere of the cards. Some of the cards veer off quite a bit from the traditional Rider Waite meaning, and the cards don't have the name descriptors printed on them. Major Arcana cards are marked by number, and the rest of the cards are marked by symbols, so it can take some studying to read this deck the way the creator intended. My first few readings with the cards, I used the LWB (little white book), but I've since retired it to the box. I've found I prefer to read the Dark Angels deck like a traditional Rider Waite deck, incorporating only slight variations of the traditional meanings based on the art. The readings come across more accurate for me that way.

For practical, day-to-day use, I would recommend this deck for an intermediate to experienced tarot reader, or as a specialty deck to break out at events with a dark atmosphere. (How fun!) If you plan to read this deck for another person, and you're not intending the reading to be for entertainment purposes only, it's important to keep in mind that life is both positive and negative, light and darkness, so be sure to adjust the reading accordingly.

Overall, what a cool deck to add to your collection!  This is a beautiful, atmospheric deck for tarot readers that know their way around the Rider Waite deck. Yule is coming up, and I can vouch for this one - it makes a great gift for fans of dark art and tarot.
