Finally a werewolf movie!
I don't know about you but for me it's been a (very) long time since I've seen a good werewolf movie - at least one about werewolves only anyway. Gosh, I can't even remember when was the last time I saw one. Hm... I don't think "Underworld: Evolution" counts. It had vampires in it. So I admit I'm looking forward to the release of Skinwalkers, a werewolf movie to be release on August 10th (this Friday!). Check out the poster of the book. I just love it! Heh! The premise for the movie is pretty simple. It's about two groups of werewolves battling one another for control of a half-human/half-wolf kid, who has the power to end their curse. Interested? Read the full movie description below: Creatures, bound by the blood of the wolf, that can kill with curses and move at lightening speed, watching the night sky for the rise of the blood-red crescent moon. They are Skinwalkers. They feed on our flesh and thirst for the taste of human blood. The red moon signals each pack, divided by principles, hell bent to survive an ancient prophecy. On his 13th birthday, Timothy, a half-blood, is about to reach the time of his transformation. He's been guarded since birth by those around him. They know the power he holds. He alone has the power to control the destiny of his family, and their kind, a gift that has placed his very life in danger. On the third night, at the rise of the red moon, a war will rage for control of their kind. There are two warring factions: one would like the curse to end, the other embraces bloodlust, and revels in the immortal freedom of the beast within. They will do anything to preserve their way of life. To survive, it means finding the boy. The one with the power to control their very survival. "I am not human," says Varek. "I am better than that!" Under the full red moon, the violent feud pits brother against brother, lover against lover, and good against evil. Now what really drew my attention is the very Alpha werewolf Varek played by sexy actor Jason Behr. (YUMMY!!!) And he looks even sexier as werewolf. Varek is a bad boy riding in motorcycles, wearing leather, and a werewolf. Hmmm... For what I've seen of the trailers, it promises its very dark yet sensual scenes.Check out the trailer: Labels: movies, werewolves |

I'm looking forward to this movie too!!
I hope this one is good. You never know with the horror movies that have been coming out recently. Let us know when you see it.
Looks interesting! Though I have to admit, we really love the Underworld movies! Even if they do have vamps! LOL!
*hugs*
Paige
Paige - Oh, I love the Underworld movies too. Heh! Although, the books (all 3 of them due to the prequel) are even better. *wg*
Christine - I know what you mean. Sometimes these movies look cool, but end up being totally lame. But let's face it, Jason Behr is great eye candy! Hehehe!
OH MY GOD!! OH MY GOD!!!! Tempest I LOVE LOVE LOVE YOU for putting my future husband on your blog. Jason is probably one of the hottest human beings (or is he?) on the planet. He can be my paranormal alien, werewolf, whatever any day .*drools*
Can you tell how excited I am right now for you posting this? Ha, ha. Good stuff. And that movie poster is pretty awesome looking, isn't it?
As usual I'm behind the times with movies coming out. This one sounds interesting, and you're right about the eye candy. I could look at him for the length of a movie.
Isabelle - *LOL* Hmm... I didn't notice you were so excited about this movie. Hehehe! And yeah, the poster is pretty cool.
Shelley - You're not the only disconnected with what's coming to the movies. Heh! I'm out of the loop too. I just found out today that they're about to film "Dark Shadows" (the movie based on the TV series).
I love Jason Behr from Roswell.. can't wait for this one. Even tho he's the bad guy.
Did you watch Blood and Chocolate? I need to rent that one.
I was just going to ask about Blood and Chocolate. I haven't seen it yet, but I really want to.
I wanna see this one!!!
Blood and Chocolate was excellent, my opinion of course :)
I just saw Skinwalkers last night. It was...just plain bad. I didn't ask for my money back just because I got a few good laughs out of it. The werewolves look like Wolfman as opposed to what a real skinwalker would look like according to legend. And the plot left something to be desired. I felt like I was watching an hour long season finale of a show I'd never watched before.
Sorry, I was disappointed.
And I was disappointed with Blood and Chocolate too. But I read the book first, so I didn't have high hopes.
It's fascinating to see the jealousy seeth when someone like Jason Behr re-emerges doing what he does best[ smouldering]on film.
Keep doing it kid,you do it so well!
