    Holiday De-Stress

The holidays can be a stressful time for many women. You feel like it
s expected of you to have to do everything, be everything, have everything and charm the in-laws, keep the hubby or boyfriend happy, keep the kids from fighting and the dog or cats from eating the turkey!

I tell ya, it can give a gal an ulcer. So we ladies at the Midnight Moon Cafe want to let you know it's okay to give yourself permission to goof off and de-stress!

Take a nice hot bubble bath, sip soothing herbal tea, and read a book. Remember–this holiday season, while you're doing for everyone else--to do a little something for YOU! 'Cause we think you're worth it! :)

    Cass, Cora, TK, and Brandi

Tell us your favorite thing to do to de-stress and we'll pick a winner tommorow at random from all the comments and that person will receive a mini spa kit with body lotion and bath fizzy bombes.

I announce its "me" time to the menfolk. Then, a long soak in the tub, bubbles, of course. Candles on the tub, no music ( I appreciate the quiet). Slather myself with my favorite lotion and cozy up in bed with a good book. As long as I keep the door shut,I can usually get at least an hour, sometimes even longer. When I don't have enough time for a bath, just disappearing for awhile to read will work.

I like to take a hot bubble bath and take a quick nap while I'm in there. lol I also get on my treadmill when I'm stressed. I don't like to do it but it does make me feel better when I'm done.

Light a fire in the fireplace, get a glass of chilled wine, settle my laptop on my lap and s'plore all the sexy new ebooks available. Then I usually read one all the way through before tackling the hubby.

Ah, yes... keeping the dog from eating the turkey. Boy, I could tell you a story on that!

To de-stress, I am a bubble bath girl. I take a glass of wine, votive candles, and get soft music going in the bathroom. It's very cozy, but I have to warn everyone away in advance and lock the door for good measure... otherwise I'll have kids and hubby coming in every five minutes. "Mom! Do you know where my shoes/wallet/supper is?" ^_^

Reading in a quiet corner somewhere after my kids go to bed.

Does pinning large, sharp pins on a voodoo doll named after my boss count as a form to de-stress?

LOL, Why of course, TK! In fact, it's often the best way to de-stress! LOL
